You should know exactly where this bird came from.

Kings Farm TX raises pasture-raised chicken the way it should be done: birds brooded under heat, then moved out to grass in mobile tractors, and processed at a federally inspected facility so we can ship it to your door instead of asking you to drive to us.

We started this farm because we wanted to eat chicken we trusted, and couldn’t find it — every label said “pasture-raised” but none of them showed their work. So we built the batch records ourselves: breed, hatch date, the dates the batch moved between the brooder and pasture, feed supplier, process date. Every package traces back to one of them.

Out on grass, on purpose

Birds start under heat in the brooder and go out to mobile pasture tractors, rather than standing in one place their whole life. It’s better for the grass and better for the birds. Each batch page records the dates that batch made the move.

Federally inspected, shipped nationwide

Processing happens at Windy Meadows Family Farm in Campbell, TX — USDA FSIS Establishment P44992. Because it’s federally inspected, the product can legally cross state lines, which is the only reason we’re able to ship this nationally instead of just to farmers markets nearby.
