Shipping & Refund Policy

Last updated September 1, 2026

When we ship

We ship Monday through Wednesday only. Frozen product that sits in a carrier warehouse over a weekend risks arriving thawed, so we don’t ship on a schedule that would let that happen. Orders placed after our daily cutoff (mid-afternoon, local time) roll to the next available ship day, and we don’t ship on major holidays. Your exact ship date and estimated delivery date are confirmed once you submit your order.

How it’s shipped

Carrier shipments travel packed in dry ice, tendered as a UN1845 / Class 9 hazmat shipment — that’s a standard, regulated way to ship frozen food, not a sign anything unusual is going on. Local delivery and farm pickup are unattended deliveries within our local area and don’t involve a common carrier. Which options are available to you depends on your ZIP code; see delivery estimates at checkout or via the ZIP lookup on any page.

Perishable food and returns

Because our chicken ships frozen and perishable, we can’t accept a return of product that has left the farm and arrived in good condition — there’s no way to verify or re-sell it safely once it’s out of our control. This is standard for perishable food and isn’t specific to us.

Damaged, thawed, or spoiled shipments

We stand behind the cold chain on every shipment we send. If your order arrives damaged, thawed, or otherwise not in the condition it should be, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the package and its contents, and we’ll replace the order or refund it — your choice.

Subscription cycles

The same shipping schedule and damaged-shipment policy above apply to every subscription cycle. You can pause or cancel a subscription at any time via the management link emailed to you when you subscribe, before its next cycle ships.
